The South San Jose Youth Soccer League
We are a youth soccer league in the South Bay, associated with District 2 of
the California Youth Soccer Association North. We have recreational teams (class 4),
and competitive teams (class 1 and 3), with players ranging from 7 to 18 years old.
News
- Opening Day!
Our Opening Day Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 12th, 10am-2pm at
Oakridge Elementary School. Many competitive teams will be raising funds by
selling food, drinks, and various items. There will also be a variety of
activities for the whole family to enjoy including a jump house, soccer shoot
out, slide and obstacle course.
Be sure not to miss out on the Coaches Game. This is your opportunity to give
your coach some direction from the sidelines for a change!
Team and individual pictures will be scheduled during this event. Your Coach
will pass out picture order envelopes and will let you know when your team is
scheduled for pictures.
Volunteers are needed and are always welcome! This is
a great way to earn your volunteer fee refund.

- Free coaching classes organized by SSJYSL (F license)
The F license is the first license a coach can get and highly recommended for
all rec coaches (and mandatory for comp coaches). This class will help you with
practices, games, drills, warm-up routines, working with children, etc..
Time:
- 6pm-9pm on Friday 8/20 (Gunderson High School)
- 8am-2pm Saturday 8/21 (Bernal Middle School).

- 6pm-9pm on Friday 9/10 (location TBD),
- 8am-2pm Saturday 9/11 (location TBD).
